In Diaverum Uruguay clinics we are carrying out different initiatives to improve the experience of our patients during dialysis. Among these activities, in our Montevideo Clinics we are developing the Hospital Tangó project together with Dr. Gerardo Pérez.

This project is a Tango musical proposal, which offers concerts of varied live music in several occasions to patients with chronic kidney failure during dialysis sessions, through groups made up of various musicians and singers, which allows us to fuse Art and Medicine.

As part of this project, we have set out to assess the impact of live music on patients' quality of life and staff satisfaction during hemodialysis.

The study has the participation and consent of several patients and staff, who were given pre and musical intervention surveys. We are measuring variables related to the quality of life of patients and for the staff we are doing an an evaluation of the level of professional wear. The investigation is being carried out together with the assistance of the Diaverum Department of Medical Psychology.
